Posted on 10/27/2024

Jack MacGregor delivered a standout performance at the regional meet, becoming Howell’s first male runner in over four decades to claim the regional title. In a tightly contested finish, MacGregor pulled ahead in the final stretch, clocking in at 15:42.3 to capture victory. This achievement also marks MacGregor as the first Howell boy since two-time All-State runner Brian Moore (2013, 2014) to qualify for the state finals more than once.

Adding to Howell's strong showing, Lucas Wood and Anna Halliday both secured their places in the state finals, underscoring the Highlanders' depth and competitive spirit this season. The trio’s qualification reflects the hard work and dedication that continue to elevate Howell’s cross-country program. As MacGregor, Wood, and Halliday prepare for the state meet, the entire Howell community celebrates their accomplishments and looks forward to an exciting finale.
